"Massive Pre-emptive Military Strike"

A.K.A. "Surprise Attack". We're somewhat removed from the political climate in the United States here but all I could think of when I read the phrase "massive preemptive military strike" was that it was just PR spin for a"sneak attack" on Iran. I'm not a fan or proponent of *any* type of military strike let alone a massive and preemptive one. From what I can gather the strike is being justified by Iran having finally gained access to weapons that the U.S., Britain and Russia have had access to for at least 40 years. Ironically, it sounds like the U.S. is entertaining the idea of using a Nuclear weapon on the hardened bunkers containing Iran's own Nuclear weapon facilities. Then again, I tend to not put much stock into these rumors as their source is somewhat unreliable. But still...
