"Born to run"

Well maybe not "born" to run, but seriously inclined to run. I think "Born to run" has more impact then "Motivated to lose body fat through high intensity interval cardiovascular training"

Ran a training session at work today to ensure my responsibilities and ongoing projects are maintained while I'm away.

After work Raegan and I met with the harpist and picked music for the ceremony. Pretty standard "Cannon in D" sort of thing. The harp is an unwieldy instrument, there are pedals and multicolored strings and the entire thing has to balance on one edge of a rather wide base. Odd.

After the harpist Raegan and I went to purchase gifts for my groomsmen, we shopped for a bit and as always discussed budget. We settled on a nice wristwatch from fossil for each of them. I wanted to get one with a metal band but budgetary constraints had me settle for a leather band. Don't get me wrong they're still very nice watches it's just that they won't stand the test of time :(

After shopping for wedding stuff I mad a stop at GNC (one of my favorite stores) for more CLA, and ended up getting some great advice from an ex-fat guy turned personal trainer! I told him when I'm getting married and that I still want to lose about 10lbs and we crafted a plan of attack that basically boils down to lots of cardio along with increased calorie control and tactical eating choices. I also bought a "cleansing kit" that seems pretty safe. He steered me away from a few others and basically said that the weight I lose with the kit will very likely come back however if used correctly I can tighten things up for the wedding day. This must sound so vain, but I'll be damned if I'm going to pay $2000 for a photographer and not look my best. No one wants to be immortalized as a fat ass.

After getting home I put on the ipod, new ballance and my polar heart rate monitor and pounded out 3km in about 21 minutes. Hardly an Olympic time, but you have to start somewhere. Apparently I burned 300 calories in the process, I'm not sure if I believe the insidious device but I'll take the win.

"What if the best that I can be just isn't good enough? Isn't it better not to know?"
