Weekend Update and funny revelation

So it was a fun filled weekend, at my friend's wedding. This was my last hurrah for a while as it is time once again to get back on the wagon. It's destination is the junction between self-denial, respect and control, not the worst place to be.

Ok, lousy metaphysical analogies aside here is the weekend (+ Friday)...

Friday: Work at the day job is going very well, although my dissatisfaction with the massive disparity in pay is mounting. It seems that there are more than a few others that feel the same way. After work Rae and I packed and prepared for Ike and Katies wedding this weekend.

Saturday: We left early to make it out to the location for the wedding. It was a really fun and non-traditional event, video games with projectors, a live band, and a really nice nature filled location. Drank and ate way to much but had a wonderful time. Ike and Katie also put us (and almost every one else) to shame with their dancing.

Sunday: We stayed overnight at the wedding location as they had dorm rooms or campsites for many of the guests to use. Funny thing, we gave the bride and groom some cash for a night out on us and recommended a restaurant Rae and I had really enjoyed on our little pre-honeymoon-post-wedding getaway. One issue... I just found out that the restaurant we loved so much and whole heartedly recommended for them is an old swingers club... hilarious. I was wondering why there where phones at every table... they are for calling other tables you are" interested in". Ike and Katie arranged for breakfast for everyone (60+ people) that had stayed overnight which was nice of them. Rae and I stayed until about noon to help clean up the hall. When we got home a few hours later we unfortunately weren't that productive and managed to just hang out and spend time with each other for the rest of the day. Maybe that's a good thing once in a while.
