P90X Day 86 - Super Fine!

Despite only working out twice last week due to birthday week shenanigans I am still at 221 lbs and feeling lean and strong. People are starting to notice all of my hard work for the last three months and that just motivates me further.

Raegan and I have a fairly busy next few weeks, and with the Vegas countdown now at 22 days I wonder if I can carve off those last 6lbs in time? I have conceded that at least until we're back from our trip that there is very little chance of me doing cardio in the morning before work. Given that I work out at 10 or 11 pm I just don't see it (not that it isn't the dream and eventual end goal for me).

215lbs is a good weight for me to hit Vegas with and if I can get down there in time I know I'll feel better when I'm poolside :)

Tonight is P90X KenpoX + AbRipperX (which is getting easier! It just takes time!). Friday will be P90X Legs and Back and I'll pound out some P90X CardioX + AbRipperX before we take off on Saturday! I've got to bring it for the next three weeks to make it down to 215lbs! I know I can do this!

April 8, 2010 - P90X Chest, Shoulders and Triceps
April 12, 2010 - P90X PlyometricsX + AbRipperX
April 13, 2010 - P90X Biceps and Back
April 14, 2010 - P90X KenpoX + AbRipperX
April 15, 2010 - P90X CardioX

Day 9: Vegas Planning

Still 241.2 lbs this morning, I'm not sure where I'm going wrong here. I think perhaps more exercise is required to tip me over the weightloss cliff but I can feel like it is about to happen as I've been working out every second day for the first week of P90X and eating on the plan.

I did the arms and shoulder P90X workout on Wednesday to great effect although at the time I wasn't lifting very much weight I still feel it today pretty significantly so for a first attempt at an unfamiliar workout I'm going to call it a win.

Tonight I believe it is legs and back if I'm not mistaken so I expect to take a beating.

We have narrowed down our Vegas debauchery window to April 3 and we'll likely be staying at Planet Hollywood. I had my eye set on the Venitian or Caesar's Palace but I think for the type of unrestrained hedonistic behavior we're going to engage in PH might be a better fit...

Anyone have any recommendations for on-strip Vegas resorts? (I'm actually not sure if I have any readers so this might be a ridiculous question.)

Day 7: Fighting a Lightning zepplen on my zombie t-rex!

Far more exciting title than reality. There is no further mention of undead dinosaurs or steampunk in the rest of the post.

Didn't do Plyometrics yesterday as I was completely ruined from Monday's workout although I will be doing the shoulders/arms workout today and even make time for the Ab Ripper X workout that follows. While I don't have a lot of time to get the work done before Vegas in April, I need to approach this from a sane vector.

My wife is taking me to Las Vegas for my 30th birthday and we will be joining a number of our friends there for a week of crazy fun and debauchery. The current plan is to go at the beginning of April which doesn't give me a lot of time to get in better shape.

I do however need to lose 20 lbs almost immediately to stop snoring otherwise I can see it causing problems for my marriage. My wife is a very understanding sort by for the last week she has been woken up each night by my snoring. This isn't good. I've got a few mitigation strategies to employ in the interim but the real solution is to simply lose the weight.

Down to 241.2 lbs today. That's 2 lbs down in a week. The first 20 lbs go pretty easy as I recall. I just have to keep it locked down and stay comitted.
